Rita L. Booker

Attorney Overview

Ms. Booker joined Bayer & Carey in May 2024.  Essentially a Colorado native, Ms. Booker has lived in the Denver metro area since 1977.  She obtained a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University in 1986, and shortly thereafter, attended the University of Denver School of Law.  Ms. Booker has practiced law in the state of Colorado since 1990, with a focus on insurance defense.  Most recently, Ms. Booker was employed in-house for several years before accepting a position with Bayer & Carey.  Her insurance defense practice has included auto, homeowner, commercial, ski injury cases, and environmental tort actions.  Her hobbies include golf, gardening, yoga, and pickleball.  She has two adult children.

Ms. Booker has tried over 100 jury trials, in various Colorado state district courts, with a sprinkling of federal district court matters.
